These terms govern your use of this website and your purchase of any ticket to ALT. Open Air (“the Festival”), taking place 29 April – 1 May 2027 at Mankele Campsite, Mbombela, Mpumalanga. By using this site or purchasing a ticket, you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree to them, do not use the site or purchase a ticket.

The Festival is organised by Sognage (Pty) Ltd, registered in South Africa, of 304 Tungsten Rd, Randburg, Johannesburg (“the Organiser,” “we,” “us”). These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“the CPA”) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

1. Use of this site

1.1 You may use this site to view information about the Festival, sign up for updates, and purchase tickets. You may not use the site for any unlawful purpose, to scrape or copy its content for commercial use, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it.

1.2 All logos, artwork, copy, and design on this site belong to the Organiser or its licensors. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use them commercially without our prior written consent.

1.3 We aim to keep this site accurate and available at all times but do not warrant that it will be free of errors, delays, or interruptions. Information such as line-up, schedule, or site details may change without notice.

2. Ticket purchase and entry

2.1 All tickets are issued subject to these terms and any rules of the Festival venue communicated to you at the time.

2.2 You must be 18 or older to purchase a ticket or attend the Festival. Valid photo ID is required at the gate. Entry will be refused, without refund, to anyone unable to produce valid ID or who appears to be under 18.

2.3 A ticket grants entry for the dates specified only and is not valid for any other purpose.

2.4 Tickets may not be resold, transferred, or used for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent. We reserve the right to cancel any ticket obtained through unauthorised resale, at the resale price, without further liability to us.

2.5 Payment is processed through our store platform, Ecwid, with card payments handled by PayFast. We do not store your full card details — see our Privacy Policy for how payment information is handled.

3. Cancellations and refunds

3.1 You may cancel your ticket at any time up to the day before the Festival, provided it has not yet been used, by sending a refund request to az.oc.rianepotlaobfsctd-13ca85@ofni.

3.2 Cancellation fees apply on a sliding scale based on how far ahead of the Festival you cancel:

3.3 If you can provide documentary proof that the person in whose name the ticket was booked cannot attend due to death or incapacity, we will waive the cancellation fee on that ticket.

3.4 Separately from your right to cancel above, we reserve the right to postpone, reschedule, or cancel the Festival, in whole or in part, due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including weather, safety concerns, load-shedding, or acts of government). Where this happens, no refund will be due unless we communicate otherwise in writing.

3.5 We are not liable for any loss you incur (including travel or accommodation costs) as a result of any postponement, rescheduling, or cancellation of the Festival.

4. Right of admission

4.1 We reserve the right of admission and may, at our sole discretion, refuse entry to or remove any person who acts dangerously, disorderly, or offensively; fails to comply with Festival rules or lawful instructions from staff or security; or is found in possession of, or under the influence of, illegal substances.

4.2 No refund is given to anyone refused entry or removed under this clause.

5. Attending the Festival

By purchasing a ticket, you also accept the risks of attending an outdoor event and the terms set out in our Festival Safety & Risk Acknowledgment, which forms part of these terms. Please read it before you buy a ticket.

6. Limitation of liability

6.1 To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, the Organiser is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or attendance at the Festival.

6.2 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law, including under the CPA.

7. Links to other sites

This site links to third-party sites (such as Mankele’s website, our payment gateway, and Instagram) for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this site at the time of your purchase or visit applies. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these terms or your attendance at the Festival is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South Gauteng Division of the High Court of South Africa.

10. General

10.1 These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Festival Safety & Risk Acknowledgment, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Organiser regarding the Festival and this site.

10.2 If any provision of these terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the rest will remain in force.

10.3 Our failure to enforce any part of these terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

11. Contact
