Halvar is a four-piece thrash metal band hailing from Cape Town, South Africa. Formed in 2017 by frontman Daniel Louw (lead vocals, guitar), the band quickly rose through the ranks of the local metal scene to become one of the most formidable live acts in the country. The lineup features Tim Leibbrandt (bass, backing vocals), Olly Saggerson (guitar, backing vocals), and Dolf Lombard (drums), completing a powerhouse ensemble known for their high-energy performances and razor-sharp musicianship.
